Who we are

Lead For Change International (LFCI) is a community‑engaged global health organization committed to advancing adolescent reproductive and maternal health equity in rural communities in sub-Saharan Africa and underserved communities in the United States. Through community‑driven programs, partnerships with health service providers and health systems, and collaborations with academic institutions, LFCI develops and implements initiatives that expand access to youth‑friendly reproductive and maternal health services and improve the quality of life for adolescents.

Rural and underserved communities often face significant barriers to reproductive and maternal health services. The barriers include limited access to health facilities, inadequate health infrastructure, increasing service costs, fewer youth‑friendly resources, and social norms that can discourage adolescents from seeking care. Through collaborations with community organizations, health providers and health systems, academic institutions, and public sector partners, LFCI helps translate evidence into actionable solutions that break barriers and strengthen reproductive and maternal health services in rural and underserved communities.
