Community‑Engaged Framework
LFCI works in partnership with rural communities in sub-Saharan Africa and underserved communities in the United States to design and implement initiatives that respond to local priorities and needs. By engaging adolescents, families, community leaders, and health providers, we support sustainable solutions that break barriers and strengthen reproductive and maternal health services in rural and underserved communities.
Partnerships and Collaboration
Collaboration is a key pillar of LFCI’s mission. Our organization partners with community organizations, health providers and health systems, academic institutions, and public sector partners to develop, implement, and evaluate initiatives that break barriers and strengthen adolescent reproductive and maternal health outcomes in rural and underserved communities.
Addressing Social Norms and Barriers to Care
Social norms, stigma, and community perceptions can influence adolescents’ access to reproductive and maternal health services. LFCI works with communities and partners to address these barriers to foster supportive environments that promote health‑seeking behaviors and equitable access to care.
